FAQ

Here’s a handy list of FAQs to help you navigate our wedding weekend! We want you to have the best time, so here’s everything you need to know.

We will be sending out formal invites in February, please RSVP no later then April 18, 2025.

The big day is on Sunday, June 8th. The ceremony will begin at 2:30pm, followed by a mocktail hour & reception.  The wedding reception will end at sunset.

The ceremony and reception will be held at the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish. The venue details, parking, and directions can be found on our website under the heading of wedding.

For our outdoor wedding, we’re going with a semi-formal dress code vibe, think semi-formal or cocktail attire. Think polished yet relaxed—perfect for an elegant celebration under the open sky. For men, a nice suit, a tailored blazer or jacket with dress pants or chinos, paired with comfortable loafers or moccasins, will keep you looking sharp. For women, a chic dress, midi skirt, or tailored pants with a stylish top, combined with elegant flats, is the perfect balance of comfort and class. Please keep in mind the outdoor setting, so choose fabrics and footwear that are both stylish and practical for uneven terrain. This is June in the Pacific Northwest, although it may be beautiful and sunny in the morning, the air will get crisp in the evening and there is always a chance of unexpected rain.

Please note that white, ivory, or cream are reserved for the bride, so we kindly ask that guests avoid wearing these colors.  We want her to shine on her special day, and your thoughtful choice of attire will help make that happen!

We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing a full navy suit. While we love the classic look, we want to ensure the groom and groomsmen stand out in their own special way.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Please refer to your invitation for details. We’ve tried to accommodate everyone, but we ask that you only bring the individuals named on your invitation.

Yes! We’re registered at Honeyfund, there is a link on this website to connect you.  Your presence is the best gift, but if you’d like to help us celebrate with a gift, we’d be so grateful.

Definitely! The reception will feature a mocktail appetizer hour followed by a seated dinner.  For the welcome party expect a relaxed BBQ.  For the open house expect a relaxed spread of appetizers and snacks.  If you have any allergies, please let us know in advance for communication with our venues.

Yes, there will be parking available at the venue.  However, this venue is a tourist attraction in the Vancouver area and parking is on a first come first serve basis.  Sometimes the line up to get into the parking lot is backed up out onto the highway.  Please allow ample time to find parking.

Yes, we have strategically planned time for exploration of the best views in this park between our ceremony and the beginning of mocktail hour.  Approximately, 1 hour.  Wear flat shoes, this is a park on top of a mountain.

We’ve asked our photographer to capture every moment, so please leave your cameras and phones aside during the ceremony. We’ll be sure to share lots of photos after the big day!  We will have a QR code to share all your photos from your time at the mocktail hour and reception.

This is not something we can forecast, the weather in June in the metro Vancouver area can be hot and sunny or cold and raining.  Please bring a raincoat for your travels.  And follow the weather forecast provided on this website for more up to date details.

As part of our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for ourselves and all our guests, our wedding will be dry – meaning there will be no alcohol. This decision reflects our values and the well-being of many very special people in our lives.

The welcome party at Kim & Charlie’s will be a casual, laid-back BBQ and pool party, so leave the heels at home! Think comfy shoes, casual attire, and maybe bring your swimsuit for a dip in the pool.
